The roots of ONTARIO go back to 1965 when Molly and Richard formed a 4 piece band in the Syracuse area called YESTERDAY'S CHILDREN . For the next three years, Yesterday's Children won every Battle of the Bands that they entered. The band broke up in 1968 and Molly & Richard took a 36 year break from each other. Amazingly, both continued performing in music groups throughout that entire time. Richard started as a drummer in 1963 (MYSTICS- Germany 1963, DICK & HIS KNUTTS- Alabama 1963) then switched to guitar (THE STRANGERS- Alabama 1964-1965, YESTERDAY'S CHILDREN- Syracuse 1965-1968,GROSS NATIONAL PRODUCT- Syracuse 1968, HARD LIFE- Syracuse 1969, THE COLLECTION- Tennesee 1970, FOXFIRE- Taiwan&Hong Kong 1972-1976, ONTARIO (Pre- Molly)- Colorada 1976-2003, ONTARIO- Syracuse 2004-present) He obviously found it hard to keep a job. Molly played keyboards in YESTERDAY'S CHILDREN- Syracuse 1965-1968 before attending Ithaca College as a French Horn major graduating in 1973. She switched to guitar (MOCA- Syracuse 1976-1978, BACK DOOR- California 1979-1980, DOUBLE TROUBLE- California 1980-1982) before switching to bass, flugal horn & flute (ONTARIO- Syracuse 2004-present) She also taught instrumental music for 20 years in the Syracuse area. Slick (named because of his way with the ladies) was born to play drums. He has been with ONTARIO since the beginning although he likes to monkey around a lot!
